JDM INC offers 2 kinds of warranty on all our Engines and Transmissions sold, below are the details

JDM used performance engines come with a 30 day block and head warranty, sensors, gaskets, and any electrical parts are not under warranty and sold as is. All VTEC, TURBO charged, SUPER charged, VVTI and performance based engines are under this category for a 30 day warranty.

JDM used non performance engines come with a 90 day block and head warranty, sensors, gaskets, and any electrical parts are not under warranty and sold as is.

Warranty details and Obligations

Customer must inspect/replace all gaskets, seals and use new fluids and filters prior to install, also it is highly recommended to inspect/replace timing belt, water pump, tensioners prior to install and set timing correctly. Leaking water pump, engine failure due to broken timing belt, tensioners, overheating due to bad water pump are not warrantied.

Please check with your local/state authorities about legalities and smog/air regulations prior to purchase as JDM INC is not responsible, Some engines maybe for off-road use only in your state and we are not responsible for that.

Please insure you are ordering the correct engine/part as we are not responsible for incorrect orders due to customer negligence.

If under any circumstances an item is being returned to us or order cancelled there is a 30% restocking fee and all shipping and handling charges are customer responsibility. If an item is being returned to us and you do not acquire a return authorization number, the item will be refused by our receiving department.

JDM INC does not cover any labor costs, shipping costs for any returned or warrantied items. All warranty claims will be denied and forfeited if any abuse or vulgar language is used towards any of our staff members, JDM INC will not tolerate any of that.

Please inspect the delivered item in the presence of the delivery personnel and insure he notes any shipping damage to the item on the bill of lading before he leaves, this insures your insurance claim with the shipping company will be valid and go smoothly, failure to do so may result in a denied claimed against the shipping company. Japan Star Motor purchases insurance on all items shipped to you at no extra charge to you, however if any damage happens during transit, we are not responsible and you must take that up with the shipping company.
